Kim Kardashian Style Make Up

27 Aug

Image

Kim Kardashian Is one of my all time ‘Girl Crushes’, I love her fine ass body and of course her beautiful hair & make up.

Here i re-create her sexy Arabian look but ramped it up a little for clubbing/parties & proms.

1. After applying your foundation and setting powder, use a deep bronzer to thin out your Jawline. I used the darkest shade of Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades block in #1″ Way to Glow”.

2. Use a highlighter to sweep up your temples and down onto your cheeks, just above the contouring of the jawline. I used Vanilla pigment by MAC.

3. Time for the eyes! Start with an eye primer to set your eyeshadow and stop it from falling. ELF’s studio primer is a great cheap alternative to Urban Decay & Lancome etc.

4. Use a highlighter to highlight your brow bone, this shade needs to be super white, so i used my Vanilla pigment again.

5. Sweep across a mid gray over the rest of your lid in a angular motion, I used shade 72 “Amazing Gray” by Estee Lauder, take this same gray and sweep it on your lash line under your eye from inside to outside corner.

6. Apply a white eyeshadow or eyeliner to the lid, and apply glitter (make sure to put something sticky there first! :P) The easiest way i found was to use Barry M fine glitter dust in #4 (Silver/White) with some eyelash glue underneath.

7. Cut the crease of this and really define the glitter by using the darkest black eyeshadow – Boujois intense 10 Eyeshadow in Black is super dark and blends easily. Make sure to blend this black into the highlight/gray slightly but NOT into the glitter.

8. Line your eye in a cat eye shape, flicking up & outwards on the outside corners of your lashline. Also use a eyeliner pencil on your bottom lashline to line your waterline.

9. Stick some eyelashes on, and add mascara to blend (Or just use mascara.

10. Use liquid eyeliner on the inside corners of your eye, just to create the arabian eye look, by outlining the inside corner.

Use a neutral lip colour to finish (I used myth by MAC), and ta da! 😉

Enjoy!

XOXO.

holiday make up haul from Boots

12 Jun

So, we all have to change our make up going away, weather its just changing waterproof mascara or a complete out with the old in with the new haul, unfortuently, due to the ammount of make up i wear normally, i’ve had to do a complete out with the old in with the new haul, but i cannot lie, i loved it! 🙂 here’s what i bought & a little review of pro’s & cons.

No7 Stay Perfect Compact Foundation in 10 New Ivory with SPF 15.

This gorgeous little compact is £13.50, but i got it for £9.50 as the lady working for no7 was really kind and got me a voture in the Boots magasine, she was so lovely. This ultra nifty compact opens by twisting the top and opening out, it has a cover where a sponge goes and then that lifts out into where the foundation is held, this is ideal for holiday traveling as you know you wont loose half your foundation by it opening in your baggage and going everywhere, which has happend to me too many times. This foundation has high coverage, so may not be suitable for those who opt for a lighter coverage, however this blends so easily and comes in so many shades your more than likely going to find the right one for your skintone. With spf 15 it also provides enough protection from the sun, however when out a long time you wont want to use it on its own when you’re tanning etc. Its new formula creates a high coverage flawless finish which lasts for a long time, without needing to re-apply. It also has high shine-control which prevents make up meltdown and in the sun thats so important so you dont look like you’re melting!

Maxfactor Creme Puff in 55 Candle Glow

At £4.99 this powder is pretty cheap, however it offers the best shine control i’ve had. In the past ive used True Match and Perfecting Minerals but nothing matches up to this. It’s not for the faint hearted though, as it has a very strong talky smell, which i enjoy but my friend who also bought it despises it, i guess all i can say is to smell it before you buy it to see if you like the smell or if you hate it, cause its a pretty marmite smell, you either love it or you hate it. However, the shade i got Candle Glow is really nice as it gives a little bit of bronzey glow to the skin without looking orangey, and just looking healthy, i can also see some shimmer in it, but very very slightly, which means people will be asking “how do you get such beautiful glowing skin” every day of the week, ive only used it once and had comments from my boyfriend and friends already saying my skin looks amazing.

This bronzing powder is only £3.99 and therefor nobody has an excuse not to buy it! It’s actually gorgeous, and i’ve tried so many from UNE complexion enhancers to bronzing pearls who made me more tangoed than tanned & contored. This has almost outdone to the beach from MAC, and that has to be my all time favourite. For £3.99 nobody can refuse to buy this gorgeous bronzing powder, in two shades Light & Dark depending on your skin tone or desired effect you can choose what sort of effect you want from this gorgeous powder.

L’oreal Paris Color Appeal Trio Pro in Beige Taupe

This product is £7.99 and comes with three numbered eyeshadows, in my set they range from a gorgeous shimmery chocolate brown to a gorgeous peach and includes an off white highlighter, this set also comes with two sponge applicator brushes which are actually pretty good and each angeled in a different way. These are highly pigmented shades which last for a long time and dont go into the creases of your eyes when you get hot. I think for three good quality eyeshadows i think that £7.99 is a really good price.

Maybelline New York Falsies Volum’ Express

This amazing mascara is only £7.99, rated as one of the best mascaras released this year i cannot tell you how amazing this mascara is enough. It isnt a light mascara though it is a full impact thick long lash mascara so if you’re going for a more natural look this one may not be for you, in Brown and Black however the Brown can be for the more subtle Make-Up-ers amoung us. For under £10 i dont think there is a better mascara out there, so seriously girlies, go out and buy this high street wonder!

Waterproof easy volumising mascara by Boujois in Easy Black

In my mind, the best waterproof mascara for £7.99, lasts for a long time in water, yet doesnt take an age to remove in the evening, actually creates a good lash length and volume without the clumps of usual waterproof mascaras, the wand is much like the falsies wand, quite fat and thick, allowing you to cover every lash, however, yet again, this one isnt one for those who are more au naturel with their make up, due to the thickness of Waterproof Mascara generally. Its oil free forumla means it stays on without clugging up your eyelashes leading to them falling out. Absolutely fabulous mascara for under £10!

Nivea Pearly Shine Lipbalm with SPF 10

£2.15. Has been described by beauty bloggers as “the most glamorous lipbalm” this glides on to your lips giving a subtle pinky pearlecant color to them with a gorgeous sheen, however this does dry up quickly so you do need to reapply often, however i always want to when this lipbalm is just so utterly gorgeous. The spf10 will look after your lips from casual sun but you will need something stronger for tanning on a beach or when in wind/water.

17 Mirror Shine On Lipstick

£4.49 Each, i bought the colours Beehive (Left) and Peace (Right), the colours are a little different than the picture, Beehive is a Shimmery nude pink with high shine finish and Peace is a very coral pink which is now my perfect summer shade, again with the high shine finish. These gorgeous lipsticks are fantastic as they last for such a long time and unless your eating and drinking do stay shiney for as long as you dont eat or drink, the colour does stay when your eating and drinking but the shiney finish goes, but the lipsticks almost stain your lips which is fabulous if your going into the water etc.

No7 Dual Protection Tinted Moisturiser in Medium

£11. This tinted moisturiser actually provides quite a high level of coverage, whilst having SPF 15 to protect from sun damage and being a little shimmery to provide you with a gorgeous glow. I’ll be using this when im swimming etc to give me some coverage without worrying about my foundation going patchy etc, it also gives a little colour so if your face isnt as tanned as your body then this is your answer untill you catch up. Overall a really good product and compared with other lesser branded tinted moisturisers, is one of the cheapest whilst remaining the best, i honestly think no7 is an amazing brand.

I hope you enjoyed my haul & review of products as much as i enjoyed buying them!
